Product Development

Our pilot facility is located in Kankakee, Illinois (near Chicago), adjacent to our production facility

The pilot facility includes miniature versions of all the required equipment to produce and dry pellets

Our pilot facility also houses a lab fryer, compression popping equipment, hot air-popping and seasoning applicator to produce finished product prototypes

State-of-the-Art Facility

J.R. short operates a 72,500 square foot facility located in Kankakee, IL

The plant includes several production lines fed by an automated mixing and blending system ensuring product consistency and quality

Bulk-Ingredients and Packaging

Finished product packaging capabilities range from small poly lined case/carton packing up to finished product packed in super sacks using a highly automated system
